Code of Conduct

The MKBA code of conduct states that MKBA members will walk in unity, actively grow in their leadership and vocational calling, and submit to the lordship of Christ Jesus and follow His direction in life. We endeavor to be guided by the following values: A spirit to release and serve-no one with a control spirit can fully experience God’s Kingdom. On many levels, we naturally seek to protect our personal honor, money, and influence and make decisions that give us an advantage over others. However, we believe the Kingdom cannot operate with this spirit of self-interest and so we seek to equip, release, and serve others. Obedience-our highest goal is to not get more money, possessions, notoriety, or esteem, etcetera. We believe we’ve succeeded when we know and obey the will of God. Blessing without criticism-we bless the transformational process to Kingdom virtues of other people and their ministries. We bless them regardless of their deficiencies. We bless them without needing to agree with our differences. We understand that the Kingdom defines unity through diversity.

Inclusion Without Elitism-We set our hearts to include all others by receiving from them and by using our resources to help others without reference to how it affects our personal gain. From the hourly wage earner to the CEO and to the business owner we will advise, minister, and treat as equal the needs of everyone in business.
Character and gifting-We desire leaders whose crowning achievement is to be conformed to Christ in every way possible. We believe people should seek to follow character more than giftings or credentials. Humility-many are willing to serve as a way of drawing attention to themselves and for personal gain or recognition. The mark of a good leader is humility and godly character in addition to skill.

Teachable spirit-we seek to be easy to correct, rather than defensive. We desire to receive corrections without regard for how it comes. We will not get offended even when corrected by a person with a wrong spirit. Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honored. Proverbs 13: 18.
For the benefit of others-We serve for this success of the people we minister to instead of seeing them as a steppingstone for our success. During ministry, we do not self-promote our personal agenda. In relationships, we seek God’s will regardless of the cost to us. We endeavor to take this extra step in all of our decisions.
Authority with humility-Those with greater authority, wealth, and station in life should seek true humility and desire less privilege. These people should fill the godly responsibility spoken of in 1 Timothy 6.

Proactively take initiative to encourage, support, and unite with fellow MKBA members to share the burdens and joys of the marketplace and support to do outreach to others in the marketplace. Mentor younger MKBA members and those under my authority, recognizing the God ordained mandate to make disciples and go to the nations.
