6/29/2025 – The Bread for the Week – LIVE FULLY AND PASSIONATELY IN THE PROMISES OF THE WORD
Jeremiah 29:11–14
11 “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you,” says the Lord, “thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
12 Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.
13 Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity], and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord, “and I will release you from captivity—whether it is fear, worry, dread, etc.”
Jeremiah 33:3
3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of, or understand).”
Not exact in time, only that it was after the events in the foregoing chapter, when things were still growing worse and worse.
We wrestle with fear of not hearing Him correctly, so we worry about disobedience. He knows we have need of precept upon precept to bring us to our works of faith—but we are so distrustful that we need promise upon promise to bring us to our comfort.
Oftentimes, as afflictions abound, His consolations abound even more, and we receive the most reviving communications of His favor when the world frowns upon us.
The prophecy itself: a great deal of comfort is wrapped up in it for the relief of the captives, to keep them from sinking into despair.
Isaiah 55:6–9
6 Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right]; call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him—and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Revelation 4:1–2
1 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice I had heard, like a war trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future.”
2 At once I came under the [Holy] Spirit’s power, and behold, a throne stood in heaven with One seated on the throne!
Proverbs 3:1–10
1 My son, forget not my law or teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;
2 For length of days and years of a life [worth living], and tranquility [inward and outward and continuing through old age till death], these shall they add to you.
3 Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness], and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood], forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart.
4 So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man.
5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord, and turn [entirely] away from evil.
8 It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency [from righteous labors], and with the firstfruits of all your income;
10 So shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine.
Stay in Your Kingdom Lifestyle Amid the Storms by Living Matthew 6:
-
Be generous and charitable in humility.
-
Pray with purpose and position—to the Lord alone.
-
Pray and fast as the Lord patterned, not merely as needs dictate.
-
Store your treasures in heaven, so your heart will be there also.
-
Keep your eyes focused on above.
-
Do not find trust or security in the riches of the world.
-
Do not be worried or anxious about your needs.
33 “But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.”
I pray you be in the shalom of God until we speak again.
Love you, MKBA family!
